While a la carte pricing is an excellent tool for budgeting purposes, our extensive options can sometimes feel overwhelming.
MICEC Wedding Packages were designed to help lessen potential stress and confusion that often arises while planning a wedding. They reflect a total price of standard weddings here at the MICEC, yet these packages are also fully customizable, allowing you to tailor the package to your own specifications.
The Deluxe Wedding Special
When reviewing MICEC Wedding Packages, you may note that one package stands apart from the rest. Fully inclusive and spanning two days, our Deluxe Wedding Special Package is exclusive, with only six per year being offered.
The contents of the Deluxe Wedding Special Package are:
- 20 hours in the Mercer Room
- 10 hours in the Kitchen, Terrace and a Wedding Suite
- Room set-up and break-down
- Use of the state-of-the-art Mercer Room media system
The total cost of the Deluxe package is $4,999.
Why the Deluxe
Wonder why you may need two days?
The Deluxe package is designed for events that need or want a little extra time to set-up, or would like to host a pre-event before The Big Day. Here is one example of a how a couple might use this package:
In addition to working well for receptions, the Mercer Room is also perfect for rehearsal dinners. Where better to practice the entrance of the new couple than the room where they make the entrance?
The Mercer Room is a not only the perfect place to practice – it is also ideal for dinner. The MICEC does not require a specific caterer. Rather, you may bring your own favorite caterer, or even your own personally prepared food.
A get-together prior to your wedding provides family and friends with a chance to get to know one another, mingle and perhaps do some last minute planning before your wedding!
Another potential use of Friday night can include the process of setting up. In addition providing peace of mind, this time can be essential when renting décor like pipe and drapes, or other items. Vendors may set up Friday night. Saturday morning can be spent applying final touches, like floral arrangements, table top décor, and any other unique elements that are unique to your wedding.
Breaking It Down
As a Deluxe Package client, you receive 20 hours in the Mercer Room over the period of two days. This equates to:
The Deluxe also provides you with:
- Four hours Friday night, from 3:00 to 7:00 pm.
- Sixteen hours on Saturday, from 8:00 am to Midnight. Of those 16 hours, three are “extended.” Extended hours are defined as time when the MICEC has closed to the public, but remains open for private rental events.
- 10 hours in the professional Catering Kitchen
- 10 hours on the outside Covered Terrace
- 10 hours in the Wedding Suite
While these hours are intended for use on Saturday, you may pick the timeframe in which they are used.
Another perk Deluxe Package customers receive is room clean-up and break-down. When you arrive Friday and Saturday, all the tables and chairs that we provide will be set up in the Mercer Room, per your communication with the MICEC Reservations Coordinator. At the end of your event on Saturday, our staff will break down our tables and chairs for you.
Mercer Room events are required to end one hour before the end of your rental time. In the case of the Deluxe Package, the party will end by 11:00 pm. Your final hour is reserved for clean-up of the Mercer Room. Reserving the final hour for clean-up helps to ensure that all guests are out on time without feeling rushed, and that the Mercer Room is clean by the end of the rented time period. Ending your rental on time is one way to avoid extra fees.
The use of our state-of-the-art audio visual system is included in the Deluxe Package. The MICEC media system has four handheld microphones and two lapel mics – perfect for toasts and speeches. There are two ceiling-mounted 1080p HD projectors in the Mercer Room, which MICEC staff assist in setting up. Many clients also enjoy utilizing our sound system by simply connecting a phone or iPod. Whatever your method, our knowledgeable staff looks forward to assisting you.

The a la carte cost of the deluxe package is over $5000. With the Deluxe package, you receive a total savings of over $500 dollars, or over 10% off.
