JOB DESCRIPTION: Mercer Island Country Club is looking to hire several Life Guards responsible for ensuring the efficient and effective operation of the pool, providing a fun and safe environment for members. Essential Duties and Responsibilities include: Maintains constant surveillance of patrons in the pool area; acts immediately and appropriately to secure safety of customers in the event of an emergency. Provides emergency care and treatment as required until the arrival of emergency medical services. Prepares and maintains appropriate incident reports. Presents professional appearance and attitude at all times and maintains a high standard of customer service. Performs various duties as directed to maintain a clean and safe facility. Make sure the pool area is always properly supervised and attended in accordance to American Red Cross standards. Other duties as assigned. Must have Red Cross Lifeguard Certification, CPR/AED for Adults/Infants and Children. Must be able to lift, pull and push up to 50 lbs.

This would include but is not limited to, quality control in and around the pool during lessons and teaching group and private swim lessons. General Responsibilities include but are not limited to: teach swimming lessons, both group and private. Perform all daily tasks involved with running a smooth lessons program at MICC.  Other duties as assigned. Must have Red Cross CPR for the Professional Rescuer, First Aid and Lifeguard Training. Teaching experience preferred but not required.
