Free Curbside Holiday Tree Collection

Dec 23, 2019 - New this year, Recology will be providing FREE curbside collection of your holiday trees alongside your normal compost during the first two full weeks of 2020 (i.e. through January 17). Please remove all decorations and stands, and cut trees into six foot segments or shorter; flocked trees cannot be accepted.

Note: this applies to all residential accounts and multi-family or commercial addresses with Recology contracts. Apartment or condo dwellers are advised to contact their property manager to ask what arrangements are in place. Alternatively, any King County resident may also drop off natural trees in the yard waste section of the Factoria Transfer Station, seven days/week, for a $12 fee.

With the launch of this convenient new option, the City will no longer be offering tree collection and chipping at the Public Works yard behind City Hall. Please do not leave trees there any more.

Island residents can also recycle defunct holiday lights for just $1 per strand at the Recology store in Issaquah.

To reach Recology's customer service, please call 206-381-6980 (Mon-Fri: 7am-7pm; and Sat-Sun: 8am-5pm), or Email
