Known Windstorm Damage January 6

5:30pm UPDATE:
At this time, the only known roadway issue remaining is the 4000 block of W Mercer Way where 3 power poles are bent down by trees and PSE has not yet arrived to assess the situation. According to PSE, approximately 500 homes remain without power on the Island.

Original 8:30am News Release:
Following 50-60mph wind gusts early in the morning of January 6, these are the known impacts, as of 8:30am. Please drive carefully, many roads have debris. Do not approach downed powerlines. 

4000-4200block of West Mercer Way is closed in both directions due to a massive tree and powerlines.  Barricades in place and PSE has been notified.

4400 block of 88th Ave SE is closed due to powerlines down; barricades in place. 

4500 block of 86th Ave SE has a powerline down. 

One known treefall onto a residence, occupants uninjured - City crews are assessing. Several tree/powerline fires put out overnight by MIFD.
