Potential Closure of Westbound I-90 Floating Bridge: Sunday, Feb 18

Feb 17, 2018 - (2:30pm) The Washington State Dept of Transportation (WSDOT) has announced it is monitoring the impact of expected northerly winds on the westbound lanes of the I-90 floating bridge.
If windspeeds reach 26mph and wave heights reach 2ft, the WESTBOUND direction of the I-90 floating bridge would be CLOSED temporarily to prevent damage. The bicycle and pedestrian path would also close. Emergency vehicles will be allowed access.

Eastbound I-90 would remain OPEN.

Under the current forecast, this scenario appears likely to occur on Sunday morning, February 18.
